I am certain that there is life on other planets. I would like to believe that they know of our existence, but, after watching us mess up our planet, fight each other over land, life, and values, as our planet gently spins around our sun, a sun that will either get too big and engulf us or shrink and go out, they may not be too keen to announce that they are there. The radio and television signals that beam out into the deepest reaches of space don't paint us in a good light, we must appear barbaric to other races, children who have not yet started to grow up...
As for going to look, we will only find them if they wish to be found. We may find traces of what appears to be a long forgotten civilisation, but this could well be a ruse to dissuade us from looking closer. |
